Privacy Policy

Focus & Dungeon Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the app “Focus & Dungeon” (the “App”) collects, how it is used and shared, and what choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

In short: your game progress stays on your device. The App shows ads through Google AdMob, and the ad SDK may collect certain device and usage information to deliver and measure those ads. We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, or any account.

Section 1

Who we are

The App is developed and provided by:

Vanishing Point Studio is a one-person studio based in Japan. For the purposes of this policy, we act as the party that decides how information from the App is handled.

Section 2

Information the App and its ad SDK may collect

The App itself keeps your data on your device. The advertising software built into the App (Google Mobile Ads SDK) may collect the following.

CategoryExamplesWhy
Device identifier Advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking; other device-level identifiers Ad delivery and measurement
Network and approximate location IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of your device Ad delivery, fraud prevention
Advertising data Which ads were shown to you, and whether you watched or interacted with them Ad measurement and performance
Diagnostics and performance Crash logs, app launch time, hang rate, energy use Diagnosing problems, improving the ad SDK, and displaying ads
Device and app information Device type, OS version, language, app name Ad delivery and compatibility

This list follows Google’s published description of the data its ad SDK may collect, which can change as the SDK is updated.

Stored only on your device: your level, gear, focus record, settings, and other game data are saved on your device and are not sent to us or to any server.

Information we do not collect: we do not ask you to create an account or to enter your name, address, phone number, or email address in the App. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or health data. The App can show you local notifications (for example, when a run ends); these are generated on your device.

Information from Apple: if you have chosen to share app analytics with developers in your device settings, Apple may give us aggregated information such as download counts and crash reports. We do not receive your name or other direct identifiers through this.

Section 3

How we use information

We use information only for the following purposes.

If we add an analytics tool in the future, we will update this policy before it is used and tell users in an appropriate way.

Section 4

Sharing with third parties and advertising

The App uses Google AdMob, provided by Google, to show ads. The ad SDK sends the information described in Section 2 to Google, which handles it under Google’s privacy policy. We do not receive your personal advertising profile from Google.

The categories of third parties that may receive information through the App are: advertising service providers (Google). We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share information with anyone else except where required by law.

Other parties may collect information through the ad SDK. Google, and the advertisers and ad partners that work with Google, may collect information about your use of the App for advertising purposes. For details, please see:

Section 5

Your choices (tracking and ads)

Section 6

Information stored outside your country

Information collected by the ad SDK is processed by Google, which may store and process it on servers in the United States and in other countries where Google operates. This means information about you may be handled outside the country where you live. We take reasonable steps to choose providers that protect information, but we do not control how Google stores or transfers it. By using the App, you understand this.

Section 7

Children

The App is rated for ages 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will work with the ad provider to address it. Parents and guardians may wish to use their device’s Screen Time and parental control features.

Section 8

How long data is kept, and deleting it

Section 9

Your rights and how to exercise them

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask whether we hold personal information about you, to see it, to correct it, to delete it, and to object to certain uses. Because the App stores almost everything on your device, the personal information we can access is limited to emails you send us. To make a request, or to ask how to review or change information, email us at the address in Section 12. We will reply within a reasonable time, and within any period required by the law that applies to you. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

For information held by Google, please use Google’s tools and contact points described in the links in Section 4.

Section 10

Information for residents of specific regions

United States

Residents of some states, including California, have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. In the last 12 months, the App has made the categories of information in Section 2 available to Google through its ad SDK for advertising purposes. We do not sell personal information for money. You can opt out of tracking for advertising through the iOS setting described in Section 5. To make any other request, email us. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. The App is not intended for children under 13 (see Section 7).

Canada

We collect and use personal information only for the purposes in Section 3, with your consent, which you may withdraw (for example, by declining tracking). Information collected by the ad SDK may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries, where it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under their laws. The person responsible for protecting personal information is the developer, reachable at the address in Section 12. If you are a resident of Quebec, you may ask us about our practices, ask to access or correct information, or withdraw consent by contacting us. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, for Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec. This policy is currently available in English and Japanese.

Australia

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Information collected by the ad SDK is likely to be disclosed to Google and stored in the United States and other countries where Google operates. You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold by emailing us. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (www.oaic.gov.au).

New Zealand

The information in Section 2 is collected by the ad SDK to show and measure ads (Section 3). It is provided to Google as the intended recipient. Providing it is voluntary: if you decline tracking, ads are still shown, and you may use the App without watching ads. You have the right to ask for access to, and correction of, personal information we hold by emailing us at the address in Section 12. Information may be disclosed to Google outside New Zealand (see Section 6). You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (www.privacy.org.nz).

Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at subaddress.zeppelin0109@gmail.com. You may request access to or correction of personal data we hold. Personal data collected by the ad SDK may be transferred outside Singapore; we rely on the recipient’s obligations to protect it to a standard comparable to that required in Singapore. You may also contact the Personal Data Protection Commission (www.pdpc.gov.sg).

Japan

For users in Japan, please refer to the Japanese version of this policy, which follows Japanese law.

Section 11

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or in the App. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated. For important changes, we will tell users in an appropriate way, such as a notice inside the App, and we will update the effective date. If a change requires your consent, we will ask for it.
